Music from the Heart

Seán Fox - Open Road (single)

Seán Fox is a 19-year-old Irish singer/songwriter from Arklow. He has been gigging around the country as a solo performer and with his band Small Town Crisis for over four years.
Although he is only starting out his career he has already performed at the Rose of Tralee ,and has sang in front of President Mary McAleese, supported the likes of Aslan or Jerry Fish.
At 13 years of age he was successful in an application to Music Generation to have one of his songs Burning In Fire recorded on the John Lennon Bus.

The new single Open Road presents Fox as a mature songwriter. The lyrics are exploring the options and challenges, the uncertainty of a new chapter in life. Seán Fox wrote this song shortly after completing his Leaving Cert  when he was about to start in college.

There is a metaphore hidden in the words "Here I am there I stand will you come and take my hand and bring me home", it shows fear of the unknown, yet you don't give in to the fear, you wanna take the challenge and figure the life out your own way.

Seán Fox is another example of emerging talent. And when the talent is there, the age isn't important.
