Odhran Murphy - Make It Happen (EP)
22 year old singer/songwriter Odhran Murphy might be something of a hidden gem within the local music scene – but not for long. Fusing folk and pop, Odhran’s musical ability, raw passion and soulful voice bely his young years while his flair for storytelling is evident in current singles Alone, Older and Ours Tonight. The talented Co. Armagh, Northern Ireland native is already something of an internet sensation with his viral TikTok covers amassing hundreds of thousands of listens and having won a Dermot Kennedy Instagram competition last year and recent support opportunity with Dean Lewis.
Growing up in a musical household, Odhran’s love for his craft began as a child and he cites his musical influences as artists such as Passenger, Damien Rice, Dermot Kennedy, Kodaline, Hudson Taylor, Gavin James and Dean Lewis. Odhran Murphy now releases his debut EP with the lead single Nobody Knows. This track starts gently with just guitar and vocal before turning into a pop number that defines the time.
Murphy shows his vocal and songwriting abilities in what could be a good big arena sing along track. It's a sign he's serious in what he's doing and there xan be big things expected from him in the future.
Murphy is set to play his Dublin headline show in Workmans Cellar on March 27th 2022. He also plays Limelight Belfast the day before, March 26th
