Louis McTeggart - Loving Me (single)
Louis McTeggart from Derry. Northern Ireland, has been working in the music industry for over 20 years. As a musician and covers artist he has travelled the world performing on cruise ships and ferries and as a songwriter he has had his music featured on TV, film and radio and played in some fantastic venues throughout Britain and Ireland. Louis' last single, “Beat of the Drum” brought him some amazing success as the song was played on mainstream and community radio throughout Ireland and on independent stations around the globe. He also appeared on several stations to promote it.
Louis had an amazing 2022, releasing three singles, all of which got fantastic airplay on local and community stations and on worldwide independent radio. He plans to do even more in 2023, with his new single, “Loving Me” being the first, exciting step. Louis wrote ‘Loving Me’ during the lockdown of 2020 and is one of many that he wrote about a failed relationship in that time. Despite it lyrically dealing with adult and sometimes sad themes, it’s an upbeat, catchy head bopper that Louis considers to be one of his most accomplished and well written tunes. Louis again worked with his long-time collaborator, Peter Doherty (Kharma 45) to create a classic indie/rock/pop sound that is heavily influenced by Oasis, Blur and other Britpop greats.
"Loving Me" belongs to the family of catchy tunes, seemingly simple, energetic that get your body moving. McTeggart is pushing his voice to its limit, especially in the chorus and the result is infectiously optimistic despite its lyrics.
