Music from the Heart

All The President ́s Men are Paul Betts and Jim McAllister. Based in London, the duo recently released their 2^nd album called 'No Division' featuring Janos Muranyi on drums and percussion. Janos also featured on the 1^st album, 'New To the Neighbourhood'. The band encompass an addictive mixture of pop/reggae/funk songs, blended with a synthesis of jazz chordings, snappy rhythms and melodic grooves, creating a classic 70's/80's retro pulse. When playing live, Paul and Jim work with interesting and diverse musicians which bring something different to the performances every time. Don't You Give Up On Us Now is the first single from the second album. 

Infectiously catchy melody will get you right from the start. The saxophone gives the song the timeless feeling. The overall vibe might be a bit old school but that's a bad thing at all. The lyrics are direct, calling things as they are and some of the lines are really striking such as "there is no truth without a word of a lie" - it makes you think that everything happens for a reason and this is perhaps the message the band tried to pass on. Or every act has its consequences? Decide for yourselves.

The intentional  vintage vibe brings you into a different era but not in an overnostalgic way.  And the band achieved another thing not everybody can. The song will make you feel good.
